One of the most common questions I receive from buyers is, "When can I start playing Club Course golf after purchasing a home in Broken Sound?"
The answer is important to understand.
Purchasing a home does not provide immediate access to Club Course Golf Membership. Only when a member reaches the top 20 positions on the waitlist are they invited into the Club Course Member in Waiting (CCMIW) Program, which provides limited Club Course golf privileges while they continue waiting for a full golf membership.
Current Club Course Golf Waitlist
As interest in Broken Sound Country Club continues to grow, demand for golf memberships remains exceptionally strong. There are currently approximately 60+ members on the golf waitlist, reflecting the continued popularity of the Club and its outstanding amenities.
At this time, the Club's Membership Department is unable to provide an anticipated date for when golf privileges will become available to new members. While this may require some patience, it also speaks to the tremendous value and desirability of living in Broken Sound.
Club Course Member in Waiting Program
Once accepted into the CCMIW Program, members receive limited Club Course golf privileges while continuing to wait for a full Club Course Golf Membership.
CCMIW Golf Privileges
- Up to 50 in-season rounds during the in-season period from October 16 through May 31
- In-season play is available after 12:00 p.m.
- A maximum of two rounds per week during the in-season
- Unlimited off-season play
- Access to the practice facilities
- Access to golf lessons
- Participation in Club Course leagues
Club Course Golf Members continue to receive priority for tee times, league registration, and tournaments.
The goal of the CCMIW Program is to enhance the member experience by allowing qualified members to stay active in the Club Course golf community during the waiting period.
Tournament and League Participation
CCMIW Members are not eligible to participate in Club Course golf tournaments or social golf events designed exclusively for full Club Course Golf Members. League participation, however, is permitted.
When a Full Golf Membership Becomes Available
When a full Club Course Golf Membership becomes available, members are notified by the Club and have five business days to accept the offer.
What This Means for Broken Sound Home Buyers
For many buyers, waiting for a full Club Course Golf Membership has been one of the biggest concerns when purchasing a home. The CCMIW Program provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy the Club Course, practice facilities, and league play while waiting for full membership.
